My husband and I have been looking for a while now for somewhere out of Sydney as a weekender and a retirement option.
With each setting I of course assess it for the risk of bushfire. Bushfire plans are now promoted at all turns including apps to help you plan.
Security too is a consideration.
Why is it then that it takes us a lot more thought to plan and prepare for other emergencies in our homes or that of our loved ones?
The All Hazards approach which is part of our lives in our workplaces does not get much thoughtfulness at home.
What other situations could occur in the home and how can we respond.
Emergency numbers are an easy fix but what are our neighbour’s names and numbers?
What is our back up plan if we can’t get out the front door?
The list goes on.Back
